Program Summary

¨ Team divisions are age based, 18 and under, down to 12’s. Last year we had at least one team in divisions 18 through 14’s.

¨ With the large numbers of Dev/Pro players from last year, we anticipate more teams in the younger divisions.

¨ There are divisions of play within each age division ranging from Platinum (highest) to Copper.

¨ Multiple divisions within age levels allow competitive play and success.

 

Price: $400.00 w/an additional $75 if the team goes to Monument City.

¨ Regional teams are for the player who wants to improve her skills for high school or middle school..

 

¨ Regional teams travel mostly in North Carolina, generally to Chapel Hill, Greensboro, Charlotte, and other NC locations.

 

¨ Most tournaments are one day events and held in Rec. centers, schools, or colleges, and generally are 10-20 team events per age division.

 

¨ Recruiting opportunities are available, though not to the extent as at National Qualifiers.

 

¨ If a regional team would like to participate in the Monument Classic in Richmond, the team cost will be increased by $75 per player (all members) to cover the additional costs. The Monument City tournament is in Richmond and is a 3 day event, involving around 30 courts and around 250 teams. Because this is a very early tournament, there are lots of college coaches in attendance. While not as large as a National Qualifier tournament, this is a great experience.

¨ To get into the tournament, we MUST collect the fees very early. In 2008, we were able to get all teams into the tournament, but the 15’s had to play in OPEN or not play. Each team MUST decide early and pay the additional fee if they want to go to Richmond. It will be a team decision, and all on the team must pay, even if a player decides not to travel. The added fee is based on all paying. If a player decides they cannot go to that tournament, and does not pay, they will be dropped from the roster for the season and no refund will be given.
