In the 2011-2012 Season, Registration requires several things to be completed. Please note that Registration for our Try-Outs is NOT the same thing as Registration with the Carolina Region. Cape Fear is a club and entity that functions in the Carolina Region of USAV. You must register with the Region to be a member of ANY club that participates in this Region, both for membership and insurance purposes.

 

1. Complete a CFV Data Page. You may complete this ONLINE at this LINK or download our “Paper Form” and complete it in pen/pencil format using the CFV Download Data form. OR, you can do it at our Try-Outs and Club Registration. (If you have it completed in advance, it does save time on that Sunday.). PLEASE NOTE, forms done online after 10 AM of Try-Outs day will probably not be available as we will probably not have an internet link at the school.

2. Complete a Medical form which includes Insurance information and permission to seek medical treatment if needed. This form IS NOT sent into the region but travels with your coach when they go to tournaments in case medical treatment is needed. BRING THIS WITH YOU TO TRY-OUTS to save time. Blanks will be available at Registration/Try-Outs.

3. You must ALSO complete online Registration with the Carolina Region of USAV. The site is available here. Read the directions carefully and complete the forms. You may pay online as well. I strongly recommend the online payment as it speeds up the process and  you get instant notification of completion. Registration with the Carolina Region is a requirement to play in ANY club, but is not an actual part of any club.

4. A note on USAV (Carolina Region) Registration. If you are considering looking at another club as well as Cape Fear, you still need to complete the registration. When you come to the line that asks you to “affiliate” with a club, you can leave it blank until you have chosen. If offered a position with Cape Fear, you have up to 9 days to make up your mind and we must honor our offer. After nine days, the offer may be removed if needs of teams have been filled. The CR policy encourages all clubs to allow players to tryout at multiple clubs. Cape Fear supports that concept. We will honor our offers according to CR Policy.

5. The Carolina Region has an official “Letter of Commitment”. We will have copies of this form available at Try-Outs. If trying out at multiple clubs, you should not sign this form unless you are sure of where you want to play. You may sign at Try-Outs if you already positive.

6. The charts below will help you determine which age group you fit into. Please come to the appropriate age/time slot. Please note that there is a special rate for 11 and unders. This information is available on the CR Registration page. 12’s ARE AT THE REGULAR JUNIORS PRICE.

Players who were born on or after September 1st, 1992, and a high school student in the twelfth (12th) grade during some part of the current academic year

 

17 and under division

Players who were born on or after September 1st, 1994

 

16 and under division

15 and under division
